PROMINENT PROJECT FINANCE PARTNER JOINS MAGNUSSON IN POLAND
Marek Król is admitted in Poland as a legal advisor (pl. radca prawny). He focuses on banking and finance, including in particular project finance, investment financing, M&A financing, as well as on capital markets, energy and natural resources.
He advises both domestic and international corporations from the chemical, petrochemical and power industries, large Polish and foreign banks as well as investment and securitization funds. His experience also includes advice on financing of numerous development and residential projects across Poland. On a regular basis he acts as lead counsel in projects involving multiple jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Magnusson Marek Król worked, among others, for three major international law firms, where he headed up their banking and finance practices in Poland. His experience also includes working at KPMG as head of the banking advisory division, as well as the director of the legal and project finance departments at large Polish banks.
For a number of years Marek Król has been continuously recommended in the area of banking and finance in Poland by all the major global rankings of lawyers. Among others, he has been recommended in this field by Chambers Global for more than a decade (2004-2016), with other rankings including Chambers Europe, IFLR 1000, and The Legal 500 EMEA.

In January 2016, Tomasz Rysiak was appointed as a tax and restructuring partner, what has been followed in April 2016 with the hire of partner Daniel Klementewicz who joined to head up the dispute resolution practice of the Warsaw office.
NEW SWEDISH ACT ON THE PROTECTION OF TRADE SECRETS
On 1 July 2018, the new Swedish Act on the Protection of Trade Secrets enters into force. It is based on an EU directive and follows the principles in the previous law, with some adjustments and adaptions. The government underlines that an overall purpose with the new law is the importance of securing competitiveness and improve the conditions for innovation and knowledge transfer.read more
